It works by briefly energizing the start winding with an added capacitor at startup, resulting in up to 500% torque improvement.
Compatible with single-phase compressors from 1 to 10 horsepower, the SPP6 is pre-assembled for quick installation across residential and light commercial HVAC systems. It’s especially valuable for improving performance in scroll and reciprocating compressors and can be installed in parallel with existing run capacitors and potential relays.
